Product Marketing Manager

What you’ll do

Work as part of a team bringing a portfolio of new products and services to market.  Your skill lies in your ability to work flexibly across products at a high level and dive deep into products to develop them for market.  You will work with a team to ensure the features and benefits of the product/service are communicated.  You will assist with the product positioning including market and competitive landscape, target audience and persona development, key messages and hierarchy and input into the go-to-market plan.  You’ll work closely with a multi-disciplinary team of internal and external stakeholders during each phase of development: concepting, pilot, and launch. You will see products through launch, and may have the opportunity to join a long-term operating team in some cases.

  • Research. Contribute to market and competitive landscape research.

  • Product /Brand Positioning. Work as part of the larger team to assess and develop product and or brand positioning as required.  Own the product features, benefits and overview of the customer journey.  Work with the team to ensure clear understanding of the customer problems and how the product/service solves these.  Input into the roll out strategy.

  • Test and Learn.  Work with the team on pilots to inform final product delivery and approach.  Ensure that findings from the pilot are incorporated into final go to market strategies.

  • Marketing Strategy and Plan. Input into the marketing launch plan to hit business goals and customer adoption metrics.  Execute as required on each strategy.

  • Contribute to our A3 Brand.  Input into shaping the brand for A3Ventures including working with teams across AAA NCNU to ensure messages are timely, amplified and coordinated.

What you’ve done.

You’re a product marketing manager with 5+ years of experience.  You have worked on a mix of established products and also been part of a team launching totally new products.  You understand the role PMM play in the team and strive for continued improvement. We welcome experience from agencies, startups, or corporate innovation. What matters is your ability to take a product from concept to launch.

  • Experience working with product managers, designers and business stakeholders to scope projects and deliver results. Experience managing relationships with external service providers during rapid experimentation efforts.

  • Developed product positioning/messaging frameworks, and developed stories that engage people with products and experiences.

  • Demonstrated product-driven approach to building brand and communication strategies.

  • Established and assured adherence to budgets

  • Successfully built a balanced launch marketing portfolio of demand-generation and acquisition channels, including digital channels such as social media advertising, referral, SEO/SEM, content, and mass media channels such radio, print & television.

  • Demonstrated a passion for creating the products and services of the future.

What you’ll do

Lead the effort to build A3 Labs’ brand purpose and identity and those of the businesses launched by the Lab. Work with a multidisciplinary team to ensure projects and investments are filtered through A3 Labs’ purpose and brand filters. Lead the effort to promote the mission and purpose of A3 Labs to potential employees, partners and investors. Work with a multidisciplinary team to direct marketing efforts around the pilot and launch of new businesses, products and services.

Product Management Lead

Essential Functions

Contribute to a collaborative, multi-disciplinary team that develops, pilots, and launches new products and services. Your goal is to ensure rock-solid product positioning and rapid consumer adoption of the products and services launched by A3V.

Field Operations Specialist, Car Connect

The Field Operations Specialist is a key player in the expansion roll-out and daily operations of the CarConnect venture. This role is responsible for the success of branch operations and collaborate with customer service, product, and marketing teams to ensure seamless operations.

Core Job Responsibilities

1. Manage day-to-day operations with in-branch personnel, automotive inspection, and repair professionals. Step in when necessary on in-branch operations backfill. Manage relationship with 3rd party operation teams and ensure quality service across customer handoffs.

2 Monitor business operations (schedules, equipment, supplies, customer feedback, etc.). Perform monthly quality audits. Monitor customer support experience and track satisfaction scores.

3. Track progress against strategic goals and suggest service design improvements as appropriate. Coordinate with Head of Operations to deliver routine report outs and KPIs.

4. Help develop localized branch operations playbook. Provide training to branch personnel and manage consistent and exemplary service. Revise training materials and playbook as necessary.

5. Organize site visits for branch expansion. Ensure compliance with landlord, city, internal & national AAA policies, and DMV. Outfit new locations with signage, collateral, and DMV requirements.

  • Work as part of a 2-person team, along with a Senior Home Services Manager, to discuss our services and demonstrate use of our mobile technology to homeowners who’ve subscribed to our service

Senior Operations and Strategy Lead, GIG Car Share

As the Senior Operations and Strategy Lead for GIG Car Share, the first one-way car share service in the Bay Area, you will work with the Head of Operations to develop and implement the strategy for the call center and fleet operations.

Essential Functions

  • Performs financial evaluations on operations / products and develops/implements financial strategies covering a wide range of issues affecting business unit decision, profits and financial strength.
  • Determines possible implications on various divisions/ departments and makes recommendations as needed.
  • Reviews and provides recommendations on the business unit’s operational / product / financial reports. Interprets the contents for management, alerts them to significant issues and / or opportunity trends.
  • Based on findings of identified trends and analysis conducted, participates in the development of division’s business plan in support of corporate objectives.

The first new venture to be launched by A3Ventures is GIG Car Share, Northern California’s first one-way car share business – positioned at the intersecting trends of mobility, collaborative consumption, and sustainability. We are looking for a Head of Product Marketing to join our team.

As Head of Product Marketing at GIG Car Share, you will be responsible for championing the Gig Member’s experience. The ideal candidate applies a methodical, fact-based approach to developing positioning, messaging, and competitive differentiation, continuously improving the consumer experience through research and testing. You should possess an analytical mindset and profit orientation while thriving in an environment of fast testing, measuring, and iterating in pursuit of goals and objectives.

What you’ll do

  • Member Insights: Lead and synthesize industry, competitor, and Member research
  • Brand: Set and achieve brand awareness targets
  • Product: Translate Member needs into product requirements, work with technology leaders to prioritize development efforts, and launch new product features
  • Marketing Communications: Own the voice of the brand through all channels (e.g., website, app, email, social, out-of-home, video, radio, public relations)
